BY GEORGE ARTSITAS — The NFL Combine just added a bit of poultry to its line-up.
Five Ducks are headed to Indianapolis for this year’s combine that begins in a few weeks and hopefully will have a solid showing. (I understand that was an awful joke in the lede, but I’ve waited too long not to use it).
The five guys making the tripe down from Eugene are Kenjon Barner, Kyle Long, John Boyett, Kiki Alonso and Dion Jordan.
Because they are all in different positions, the guys should be spread out all week during the NFL Network’s coverage of the event. At the very worst, Jordan and Alonso will be meshed together as Linebackers, but I doubt it.
As of right now Jordan is projected the highest in the draft. He’s a mid-to-high first round pick on most mock drafts. With any luck, he can be this year’s Dontari Poe and raise his stock with a solid performance.
Come for the Ducks, stay for the Rich Eisen full-suit 40-yd dash. Hey may break 6.00.
